Lava crust with glowing cracks

Generate tileable PBR maps of a lava flow: dark cooling crust plates with ropy wrinkles over molten cracks, with an emissive map whose colour follows a heat ramp. Use for volcanic ground, forges and fantasy hazards.

Limits to consider

The glow is a colour ramp of crack depth, not a blackbody or flow simulation, and it does not animate. Plates are Voronoi cells. Emission strength must be set in the engine; the map holds colour only. Occlusion is a blurred-height estimate.
